Volunteers show students around Shibadong

Recently, Shibadong Village, in Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, welcomed study tour groups. The volunteer teams led by Shi Fangli showed students around Shibadong to make them learn about the history of Shibadong’s fight against poverty, and understand that “happiness comes from struggle”.

Shibadong Village, as a national youth education base and a national patriotic education demonstration base, has become a popular site for youths to carry out study tours. Since March 28, volunteers have warmly received batch after batch of students, which has sparked a wave of study tours to Shibadong Village. The volunteers watched over students, told them the story of Shibadong Village briefly and precisely, and helped them establish a correct outlook on life, values, and the world. More young people could understand the profound connotations of the targeted poverty alleviation through their patient and meticulous explanation as well as enthusiastic and considerate guidance services.

Students walked into Shibadong Village for carrying out study tours. They observed with their eyes, listened with their ears, measured with their feet, and felt with their hearts. Volunteers expressed that it was very meaningful to assist students in making study tours. They hoped that students could think and learn something in such study tours, and study hard for their better future and for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
